Renata Lučić

Biography:

Renata Lučić was born on April 15, 1973, in Brčko, where she completed her primary and secondary education with excellent results. From May 1992 to September 2000, she lived and worked in the Federal Republic of Germany. After successfully completing her education, she obtained a diploma as a dental assistant in 1998. She worked in the dental office of Dr. Astrid Weigand in the city of Erlangen, Germany. In October 2000, she began her studies in economics at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. As an outstanding student, in the academic year 2003/2004, she was engaged in the teaching process as a student demonstrator for the subjects Cost Accounting and English Language, by the decision of the Council of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. The subject professors and students rated her work with the highest grade and highlighted her exceptional abilities for teaching and working with students. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Brčko with a major in Accounting and Finance in 2004. On May 10, 2005, the Council of the University of East Sarajevo approved the decision of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, University of East Sarajevo, to elect Renata Lučić to the position of assistant for the academic fields of Accounting and Finance, and thus began her professional engagement at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. She enrolled in postgraduate studies in 2005 at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, majoring in Management in Accounting and Auditing. She passed all the exams prescribed by the postgraduate study program with an average grade of 9.90 and defended two seminar papers. On May 5, 2011, at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, she successfully defended her master's thesis entitled "Accounting Specificities and Managerial-Information Dimensions of Target Cost Accounting," under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Radmila Jablan Stefanović. On October 6, 2011, the Senate of the University of East Sarajevo passed a decision to elect her to the position of senior assistant in the academic field of Accounting and Auditing. On April 19, 2017, at the Faculty of Economics of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled "The Possibility of Implementing Integrated Cost Management in Bosnia and Herzegovina," under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Ibra Popić, and earned the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences. On December 27, 2017, by the decision of the Senate of the University of East Sarajevo, Ms. Renata Lučić was elected to the position of Assistant Professor in the academic field of Accounting and Auditing and the narrower field of Accounting Education. On April 25, 2024, by the decision of the Senate of the University of East Sarajevo, Dr. Renata Lučić was elected to the position of Associate Professor in the academic field of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. On February 1, 2018, by the decision of the Scientific-Teaching Council of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, Renata Lučić was appointed as the Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. At the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, she has been engaged as a teaching assistant for the subjects Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting at the first cycle of studies. She has been appointed as the subject teacher for the subjects Accounting for Small and Medium Enterprises and Accounting for Trade Enterprises. At the second cycle of studies, she teaches Advanced Accounting Information Systems. By the decision of the Rector of the University of East Sarajevo, on January 4, 2021, Dr. Renata Lučić was appointed as a member of the project team responsible for the implementation of the project Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in BH Higher Education/DUALSCI. During her term as Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs, Dr. Renata Lučić actively participated in numerous activities at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. She was the initiator of the modernization of the existing study program and the establishment of cooperation between the Faculty of Economics in Brčko and other universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among her many activities, the following stand out: she was a member of the Commission for the Modernization of the Study Program at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the Commission for Preparing the Report for the Modernization of the Study Program at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the Commission for the Development of Regulations for the Second Cycle of Studies at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, the President of the Commission for Selecting Students to Participate in the ERASMUS Plus Student Exchange Program, a member of scientific committees of international conferences organized by the Faculty of Economics in Brčko from 2018-2021, a member of the organizing committees of conferences in 2016, 2018, and 2019, secretary of conferences in 2018, 2019, and 2023, a member of the program committee of the international scientific conference organized by the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, a member of the committees for the preparation and implementation of the self-evaluation report and quality assessment at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko from 2017-2021, the President of the Election Commission for the direct implementation of the student parliament elections at the University of East Sarajevo at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko in 2020, the President of the Election Commissions for the direct implementation of the elections for the members of the Scientific-Teaching Council of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko from the student body in 2019 and 2020, a member of the committees for preparing and conducting the entrance exams at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko in 2018, 2019, and 2020, a member of the committees for collision, President of the Commission for the Recognition of Exams in the First Cycle of Studies at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the working group for organizing the graduation ceremony for students at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the Commission for Conducting the Student Electronic Survey at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the Commission for the Audit and Write-off of Library and Information Resources at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, a member of the Commission for Conducting the Procedure for Employing Workers for an Indefinite Period at the Faculty of Economics in Brčko. By the decision of the Scientific-Teaching Council of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko, dated November 16, 2023, Dr. Renata Lučić was appointed to the Board of the Research Center of the Faculty of Economics in Brčko (NICEF-BČ). By the decision of the Head of the Department of Accounting, Auditing, and Business Finance, Dr. Amira Pobrić, dated October 12, 2023, Dr. Renata Lučić was appointed as the Secretary of the Department. As a Senior Assistant, Renata Lučić was engaged as a professional lecturer on topics related to business plan creation in high schools in the Brčko District and its surroundings, educating future entrepreneurs (a project realized in cooperation with the Employment Bureau of the Brčko District of BiH), and leading business records (a project realized in cooperation with the Employment Bureau of the Brčko District of BiH). Dr. Renata Lučić was a member of the Assembly of the Association of Accountants, Forensic Accountants, and Auditors of Brčko District of BiH, from its founding on July 21, 2017. From May 2006 to May 2010, Renata Lučić was the Vice President of the Judicial Commission of Brčko District of BiH, representing the civil sector, the highest judicial body in the Brčko District of BiH, by the decision of the then Supervisor for Brčko District, Susann Johnson. As a member of the governing boards, she actively participated in the organization and implementation of two projects of significant importance to the local community: "Introduction of the Social Protection and Inclusion Model at the Municipality Level," realized under the UNICEF program: "Strengthening Social Protection and Inclusion of Children (SPIS) in BiH" and "Introduction of Extended Stay for Children in the First Grade in Primary Schools in the Brčko District of BiH," realized at the initiative of the then Mayor of Brčko District of BiH, Mr. Miroslav Gavrić.
